The NFL’s Social Responsibility Report is an annual publication showcasing the league’s various community and philanthropic initiatives. Covering a wide range of topics, from youth development and education, to community outreach and diversity and inclusion, it serves as a comprehensive overview of the ways in which the NFL works to bring about positive change.

Hatch 130 proudly addressed the league’s call for a more digestible annual report, responding with a revamp of its design and messaging framework to improve readership among board members, team owners, and fans alike.

In order to distill a year’s worth of content into a bite-sized summary, our team aggregated the NFL’s social responsibility efforts, spanning everything from Salute to Service and Man of the Year, to the NFL PLAY 60 initiative, the league’s national Youth Health and Wellness platform. We sifted through countless press releases, reports, and more to extract the year’s most important details, streamlining existing content by condensing copy; translating key stats into eye-catching infographics; and implementing a more elevated and cohesive color palette throughout the entire document.

The end result was the production of two pieces: a printed booklet and interactive microsite showcasing everything the NFL had done that year “beyond the game.” This not only enhanced readability, but also solidified our partnership, with the NFL consistently enlisting our services every year since 2015.
